Pointer 4 - Get a Graphics Editor
Getting a graphics editor is just as important as getting an HTML
Editor. There are many editors out there, and just like HTML Editors,
some have more features than others. Professional Web Builders like
to use tools such as Fireworks and PhotoShop,
unfortunately though, these tools are quite expensive so most Web
Builders settle for PaintShop
Pro - a great graphics editor indeed.
Pointer 5 - Get FTP Software
There is no use in going through all this trouble if you are not
going to be able to upload your work to your web server, so download
a FTP client, install it, learn how to use it and upload your work
as soon as you are ready.
Don't know where to find a FTP client? No problem, here are some
suggestions: WS_FTP Pro,
FTP Explorer, FTP
Voyager. Here is also a tutorial
that will help you learn FTP Explorer and another
tutorial that will show you how to use FTP Voyager.
Pointer 6 - Test your work
Before you announce to the world that you have a web site, beta
test your site to make sure everything works as intended. The
good thing about doing this is that if things don't look good, you
can always make changes to your site therefore avoiding an unhappy
audience.
Pointer 7 - Promote your Site
Once you are really ready to go, announce your site to the world!
There is no best way to do this than promoting
it in the right places.
That's pretty much all you need to get started. Also, remember
that going live with your web site is not the end of the journey,
it's actually the beginning! Happy Web Building!
