Most software today usually
goes through a rigorous testing period before it's released to the
public - This testing period is usually referred to as "Beta
Testing". During this phase users find bugs in the product
and report them to the manufacturer or software maker for correction.
Beta testing software is extremely important because only this
way, can a software maker be sure that it's product will meet everybody's
expectations and that it will perform (hopefully) flawlessly.
Even though web sites can hardly be compared to software, they
too must undergo rigorous testing before they are released - or
better said- published to the public.
Next, you'll learn three steps that will help you conduct a successful
"Beta Test" program for your web site.
To get you started, the steps are:
Prepare
a site description
Make a checklist
Find Beta testers/Get
Feedback
