If you've been surfing the
web for a while, then you've most likely used a search engine.
Search Engines crawl the web finding and indexing web pages to,
in the end, show you what they've found on the search keyword(s)
you used.
Search engines do an ok job at indexing pages and bringing desired
results, but did you know that you can help such search engines
do an even better job at bringing you good search results by being
specific in your search?
Be Specific
Being specific in your search, is the best way to help search engines
get you better results.
For instance, let's say you want information on purchasing a new
computer. Instead of using the word "Computer", which
by the way is too broad, you would use "Information on purchasing
a new computer". Try it, you'll be surprised to see how accurate
the results of your search are.
There are many more ways to use search engines effectively. Many
Search Engine Sites, offer tutorials designed to help you better
understand how search engines work and how to use them properly.
