If you build web pages, then you are probably familiar with the many dos and don'ts of web building.

One of the major dos in web building is to Check for dead links. Well, do you check the pages you create for dead links?

Checking for dead links is as important as publishing and updating your web site. Just imagine what would happen if a search engine such as Yahoo! didn't constantly scan it's web site for dead links. The results would be a lot of unhappy people!

There are tools available to help you check for dead links on the pages you create. Many HTML Editors such as FrontPage 98 also allow you to check for dead links.

Always remember that checking for dead links and fixing them, contributes to the credibility of your web site and therefore helps your site keep its visitors happy.
