Click through refers to the number of times a user clicks
on an advertisement banner/button or even a link.
When you click on a banner, you are clicking through the
advertisement (banner) to get to the site that is offering the product
and or service being advertised in the banner.
For example, let's pretend that you are advertising on our site
(Web Builder 101) through a banner and that you want us to send
you a report of how well your ad did. What we'd send you would have
the following info:
This report tells you that your ad (banner)
was clicked on 2,000 times. Click throughs are a good indication
of the effectiveness of an ad.
